Adlisberg Restaurant (Zürich - Hottingen)

The Adlisberg Restaurant is a beautiful restaurant in the middle of the Adlisberg forest surrounded by hundreds of walking and cycling routes. The options are endless and you can visit the area for hiking, walking around with friends or a family trip.

The Adlisberg forest is perfect for those who don’t want to go too far from the city - you can take the Dolderbahn up and simply walk 15 Minutes to the Adlisberg Restaurant or you can make a day trip out of it and spend hours walking or cycling around the woods.

Wirtschaft zur Kittenmühle - Erlenbach

This beautiful restaurant is just on top of Erlenbach. The hike from Erlenbach follows a small river with a beautiful waterfall. It’s a 2km uphill hike but it’s totally worth it. You can also start in Küsnacht (5km) or in Zurich (10km) for the fittest. Even though the walk from Erlenbach is beautiful, if you decide to start from Küsnacht or from Zürich you will be passing by more forest roads.

The Wirtschaft zur Kittenmühle is a beautiful restaurant, the service is super friendly and they serve genuine Swiss cuisine. They have seasonal dishes and most of their food is sourced from near farms. Try the Cordon-bleu!

Wirtschaft Degenried (Zurich - Hirslanden)

This rustic restaurant in the middle of the forest (close to The Dolder Grand) is one of our favourites. It’s an easy flat 10 min walk from the Dolderbahn with tons of trails to walk in the forest before or after lunch. You can also hike up following the river from the Seefeld area.

The Degenried is a family restaurant in the middle of the forest. Tradition and character with a hearty cuisine. Here you will find not only classic dishes like fondue, cordon-bleu and schnitzel but also delicious Ravioli’s, Salads and vegetarian and vegan options

The Albishaus (Albispass)

This restaurant and walk are a little bit further from Zurich HB but absolutely doable for a nice day trip. In the morning you can start early and hiked the planet trail (starting in Uetliberg), continuing through Buchenegg and finally reaching Albishaus restaurant. After lunch you can walk down to Langnau am Albis Bahnhof.

The restaurant is a meeting point for many hikers, riders and cyclists but most importantly serves great food. You will find an innovative high-quality Swiss cuisine and great hospitality.
