Best Cafés in Zürich (2023 Edition)
If there is one thing that Zürich does well its Cafés and specialised Coffee places. I love breakfast / brunch and love to discover new places and in Zürich it sometimes feels like I will never stop discovering as a new places opens up every week it seems.
I therefore decided to start this blog with my favourite and some of the most special cafés in Zürich also as a guide to you so you can see where you can do take away, dine in, what kind of food options away you and what kind of special coffee you can drink.
As I’m obsessed with terraces and sunny Zürich breakfasts outdoors you will find plenty of options for the warmer days.
This is probably the most extensive list of cafés in Zürich but if there are any places that you love and I missed out just let me know and I’ll go visit them :)
MAME
MAME is a real specialty coffee shop with so many options to choose from, they won multiple awards and you can really tell they’re into their coffee!

Monocle is a super cute café in Seefeld where you can find delicious coffee and enjoy a nice breakfast/brunch.

John Baker
John Baker is one of the best bakeries in town and is present in two locations - enjoy a take away coffee with a croissant or yogurt.

Kraftwerk is one of my all time favourite places to go for coffee and a snack. The atmosphere is great and the place is industrial yet cozy. Also a great place to work from.

Omnia Coffee is specialised in Indonesian coffees and has a super atmosphere and great staff. Currently one of my favourite spots in the city.

Boréal Coffee Shop has different locations but I like the one at Talacker best. A good place to sit back and relax or to work from (maybe not on the weekends as it gets quite busy).

Babu’s Bakery is one of the most hyped brunch places in town so I recommend you either book or go during the week. The coffee is super good and I love the food too.

Juicery 21 is one of my all time favourite places in Zürich. Not only are their juices amazing but they also have super good coffee and chai lattes.

Probably the best located coffee place in Zürich. ViCafe is not only pretty to look at but also serves delicious coffee. Best in the summer when you can sit in the square and enjoy the sun.

Bean Bank Coffee & CO
Bean Bank Coffee & CO has the best coffee around Europaallee. The shop is cute and they also have some seats outside for the summer.

Milchbar
Milchbar is perfect both in the winter and in the summer time. They have multiple seating options outside and inside and it’s cozy all over. Check it out in December with the Christmas decorations for a special vibe.

Confiserie Sprüngli is one of the oldest and fanciest cafés in town. The coffee they serve is not as good as in other places but the cakes and food are delicious.

La Stanza is one of the go-to hang out spots in Zürich. I really like coming here in the summer and having a coffee and something to eat in their small terrace. The vibe is super nice.

The feeling of being in Paris without having to travel there. Montmartre is my absolute favourite coffee place in Zürich’s old town. It’s charming and the coffee is delicious.
