Best Wine Bars in Zürich (2023 Edition)
When I first moved to Zürich I really struggled with finding nice wine bars where I could enjoy a good glass of wine and have some tapas or finger food on the side. Most places I found were also restaurants and you were expected to also have dinner or it was bars where they didn’t really have a dedicated wine list and you would have your usual Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Verdejo selection for white wines. This is when my journey to finding the best wine bars in town began and I surprisingly found a lot of super cute places with great atmosphere, nice staff who were all about finding great/ special wines.

169 West
169 West is one of my favourite spots in Zürich. It’s super cozy, they have delicious wine, little snacks for a nice aperitif but they also do breakfast and have great coffee. In the summer they have a cute outdoor area where you can sit back, relax and enjoy some time off.

Weststrasse 169, 8003 Zürich
Spaccio Vini
Spaccio Vini is another one of my favourite spots in town to have a good glass of wine. They are specialised in organic and natural wines that don’t have sulphites and they also have good food to snack on - the perfect aperitif place.

Jules Verne Panoramabar
Jules Verne is definitely more on the posh side of things but it’s a great place for a drink or a celebration - the views are incredible and they serve a lot of international wines.

Gamper
Gamper Bar & Restaurant is one of the coolest places in town! The restaurant is absolutely delicious but you can also just have a glass of wine Tuesday’s through Saturday’s from 4pm.

Widder Bar & Kitchen
Widder Bar is another fancy but great place to grab a glass of wine. Widder Bar was selected as one of the 50 Best Discovery bars so it’s definitely worth a visit.

Smith And De Luma
Smith And De Luma is originally know as a steakhouse but not everyone knows that they have also specialised in wine. You can come here and have a glass of wine but the best thing you can do is a wine tasting with them.

Züri Bar
Züri Bar is a super down to earth fun bar with great wines, a good Spritz and nice aperitif food platters. The atmosphere is really nice and the staff is friendly - perfect if you’re looking for an Italian vibe.

YAMAS
We first discovered YAMAS because someone had told us about their Greek food but went back multiple times to have a glass of wine and some small platters.

Pro Tip: I recommend it more in the summer as they have some additional outdoor seating

Silex - Restaurant & Weinbar
Silex is a new wine bar and casual dining spot. They focus on organic and biodynamic wines. We loved the atmosphere, the staff and the wines so much that we snacked quite a bit (and loved the food options).

Weingarage
Weingarage is a little bit off the beaten path but it’s a perfect place for a glass of local or regional wine with a piece of feta/ spinach pie or their homemade cheesecake.

Pro Tip: It’s also a wine shop so you can come buy wine and have a drink at the same time.

Zweifel 1898 Weinbeiz
Zweifel 1898 Weinbeiz is a super cute old-school wine bar and restaurant run by a local family. They serve locally produced wines and have great finger food.
