Best Fondue in and around Geneva (2023 Edition)
Fondue season is finally back and we want to share our favourite Fondue Restaurants in and around Geneva with you. Whether you are Swiss or not - Fondue is a definite winter tradition that should be enjoyed at least once a month during winter months! Some restaurants have also adapted to today’s needs and offer vegan and gluten free fondue options making it easier to enjoy this delicacy for more people.
Geneva is one of the cities with the best Fondue in Switzerland so making a restaurant decision will definitely be hard - follow this guide to understand what the best place is for you.

Bains des Pâquis
Bains de Pâquis is one of our favourite spots in Geneva. Located by the lake this is actually a bath house so you can dip in the freezing water before enjoying a warm fondue inside.
Perfect for: Dinner with Friends - not fancy but a nice atmosphere (you definitely have to reserve in advance).
Pro Tip - try the Champagne based version

Restaurant Les Armures
Restaurant Les Armures is a super typical place to eat Fondue in Geneva. The restaurant is one of the oldest in the city and is housed in a 13th century building.
Pro Tip: They like to tell how they prepare the cheese for the fondue so if you’re interested just ask!

Restaurant Edelweiss
Restaurant Edelweiss is probably the most Swiss experience you can have in Geneva. The food is traditionally Swiss and you will definitely be satisfied both with the fondue and the atmosphere.

Auberge de Savièse call themselves the Fondue and Raclette specialists of Geneva and to be honest the fondue was delicious. Try the tomato fondue here or the Goat Cheese fondue (which is also lactose free)

Café du Soleil
Café du Soleil is definitely one of our favourite places to eat fondue in Geneva, also mainly because it’s always filled with locals and it doesn’t have a "touristy vibe” at all. The price/quality ratio is also great.
Perfect for: Dinner with friends or a dinner with your colleagues.
Pro Tip: They also have delicious soups and great meat.

Le Gruyérien - Plainpalais
Le Gruyérien - Plainpalais doesn’t have the best atmosphere in town but the cheese fondue is really good. Besides fondue they also have other very Swiss dishes like Croûte au fromage royale. Expect a large variety of fondue types.

Bd de Saint-Georges 65, 1205 Genève
Les Fondues du Bateau
Do you want something a little different? Then book a fondue evening on the Fondue Boat. The fondue is actually quite good and they have Whisky and Vegan Fondue! The downside is that the only other thing on the menu is Flammkuchen so not advised for non fondue lovers.

Chez Mon Oncle (Nyon)
Chez Mon Oncle is a super cute restaurant in Nyon. The Fondue is delicious and they have so much more than cheese fondue on the menu. We recommend the Fondue Tao or the Fondue Bourguignonne.
