Christmas Markets in Switzerland (2022 Edition)
Christmas Markets are finally back and I could not be more excited!
This is why I created this list of all Christmas Markets that will be open in Switzerland in November/December 2022 as well as our all time favourites with some extra tips.
Zürich (Sechseläutenplatz)
The most popular Christmas Market in Zürich is also the one with the most food options - if you’re in town make sure you pass by (open at lunch and dinner).
Favorite Stands: Flammlachs, Kottu Roti (Vegetarian), 65H Cider Steak, Wesley’s Dumplings

Zürich Münsterhof
This is probably my favourite Christmas market in Zürich, it doesn’t have all the food options as the bigger ones but it’s super charming, never too full and just very Christmassy.

The best thing about this market is that it’s all over the city. Check out their calendar and opening times here.

Zürich (Werdmühleplatz)
This is the amazing live singing Christmas tree! Not a huge market but definitely worth passing by. You can find all the times and event on their website here in order not to miss the singing!

Zürich HB
The Christmas Market in the heart of the train station - not my favourite Christmas Market as I don’t like the fact that it’s indoors but definitely worth checking out (especially on a rainy day). There is usually a huge Swarovski Christmas tree.

Basel
Beautiful market in the centre of Basel - they call themselves the best Christmas Market in Europe! Check out the various locations here. You can walk around all of Basel eating and drinking delicious food.
